Stroke is devastating, yet with the right support, patients can make excellent recoveries.

Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, NHS England Medical Director

“There’s no doubt that stroke is one of the most challenging health conditions any health or social care professional can encounter.

“The condition has a greater disability impact on an individual than any other chronic disease. There’s no ‘one-size-fits all’ solution when it comes to supporting stroke survivors with their recovery. Stroke is devastating, yet with the right support, patients can make excellent recoveries.

“The UK Stroke Forum is a coalition of over 30 organisations all committed to improving stroke care in the UK. Their aim is to provide opportunities for all stroke professionals and researchers to come together so they can learn from each other, share ideas and ultimately improve standards of care for stroke survivors.

The condition has a greater disability impact on an individual than any other chronic disease.

“The coalition hosts two annual multidisciplinary conferences for healthcare professionals, a one-day event in June (Belfast) for 200 professionals and a three-day event in November (Liverpool) for 1500 stroke care professionals

“The conference brings together stroke care professionals from across the entire stroke care pathway. The three-day conference includes accredited practical training day with streams for all professions working across the spectrum of stroke care. Professionals will hear from world-class inspirational speakers offering practical clinical knowledge, and it offers incredible opportunities to network and exchange ideas. A must for professionals interested in transforming stroke care to attend!”

The UK Stroke Forum is an invaluable opportunity for all stroke professionals and researchers to discuss the latest developments in stroke care, and help improve standards of care for stroke survivors.
